Lynne was a Mill Valley girl as was I but I do not think I ever had a conversation with her while in grammar or Junior High. At MC we only said "Hi" in the halls. For some reason we got picked to represent MC at a Junior State convention and spent a WHOLE day together. It was the most boring thing I had ever been involved with and Lynne was delightful. She was so mature beyond her years and was such a gracious person. She grew up with siblings way older than she was and was so adult like. We made it through this convention and I think she enjoyed all the laughs we had because it was way too serious for me so I lightened things up for her. I would imagine she did great things in her short life because she was a very old soul and such a good person!

One of the people I was really looking forward to seeing again at our 50th was Lynne Rising. I was shocked to learn of her passing. I remember Lynne as a very positive, cheerful person. She was honest, principled, and loved to laugh. She always had a wonderful engaging smile that reflected her inner beauty and goodness. Wish we had kept in contact after graduation. Fond memories and remembrances are with you, Lynne.
