George Brabo
Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, George Arthur Brabo, Jr., passed away peacefully at home in San Rafael after a twelve year battle with Parkinson’s Disease. The adored husband of Cheryl Brabo for 62 years, the loving father of Kenneth Brabo, Lea Baechler-Brabo (Guido), and Kathi Murrin (Barry). He was idolized and much loved “Papa” of Kainoa, Kalani, Lynsey, Cameron, Cole, Jeremy, Dominic, Kianna, and Andreas; loving brother to Paulette Boyce (Dennis) and Ron Brabo (Laurie).
George was born and raised in Tam Valley until the family moved to San Rafael in the late ’50’s. He graduated from Marin Catholic 1960. He married his wife, Cheryl Cattaneo, and they shared 62 years of love, family, friends, and adventure. He worked as a Local 38 plumber for Alart Mechanical for 40 years. He loved spending time with his family, working around his home, garden, and garage, completely restoring his ’56 Chevy Belair, being in nature, and the physical activity, camaraderie, and the challenge of the hunt.
He will be greatly missed and forever loved by his family and friends.
A service in his honor will be held Sunday, August 3, at Fernwood Funeral Home, 301 Tennessee Valley Rd., Mill Valley at 2:15 with reception to follow at Mill Valley Golf Clubhouse, 267 Buena Vista Ave., Mill Valley.
Donations in memory of George may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation.

I went to grammar school with George many many years ago. I did not know him at MC. I will remember him in my prayers
